I dream a world

So I’m finally activating this news page where I’ll try to post regularly about my artistic endeavors, upcoming projects, or just some irrelevant random stuff… 

There’s been so much going on lately, I don’t even know where to start. So let’s start somewhere, anywhere. Maybe with THIS article in Večernji list, a Croatian daily newspaper. The pictures in the article are really not that favorable, to put it mildly, but… I am publishing other ones. 🙂 More about the wonderful collaboration with Andrea Nikolić, WISE: Vienna – International Soloists Ensemble and Vareš Classic Festival very, very soon, because there is SO MUCH in store and so much to look forward to!

P.S.: My composition Gorje [A journey through the unknown mountain] for oboe and string quartet was performed by the CIPRA Quartet at the opening concert of the WISE-Ensemble Rebel! CRO-ArT Festival in Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, adding a fairy touch to the festival’s theme of “Frauen, Liebe und Musik der Zukunft.” 

Gorje [A Journey through the Unknown Mountain] for oboe and string quartet is a personal sonic representation of an exploration of one’s own origins, South Slavic [Bosnian] myths and legends, archaic [musical] traditions and customs, and the cultic significance and identity-forming effect of natural landscapes, especially mountains, forests and rivers. The composition represents a state of the “antediluvian” unconscious. It is a reflection on the distant yet omnipresent, on a space-time that precedes this reality, on an ancient and primordial causality.
